About The Author

Persis Oberreither graduated from Miami of Ohio with a degree in philosophy, worked as a paramedic, and became a stay-at-home mom when Amy was born. Since Amy’s death, Persis has written PINKY-SWEAR: Honoring My Daughter’s Right to Die and has worked as a hospice volunteer. She is an active member of the Bereaved Parents of the USA, and of Compassion and Choices. Persis and her husband, Jeff, live in St. Louis.
